Who is S&D Mechanical?

We are a family owned and operated plumbing, heating, and cooling company in Delaware County made up of a close-knit team providing fair, quality service for the past 40 years. 


S&D Mechanical is currently seeking skilled Plumbers to diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems, along with guiding our customers toward confident, informed decisions about their plumbing needs.

Job Duties

Our Plumbers are responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal. Perform a variety of services ranging from faucets repairs to water heater installations and plumbing systems replacements for residential and commercial clients/customers.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair damaged/malfunctioning plumbing systems and fixtures.

  • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
  • Document all job-site activities in employee time tracking software.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes and agreed-upon scope of work.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, ensuring that they can make informed decisions about their home plumbing needs.
  • Identify and recommend additional services, including system upgrades, maintenance agreements, and new installations, to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Keep your company vehicle clean, organized, and fully stocked to ensure preparedness on every job.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, including service records, dispatch notes, and invoices.
  • Uphold a polished, professional appearance at all times to represent the company's commitment to quality.
  • Participate in ongoing training, when offered, to develop your skills and stay up-to-date with industry standards.
  • Acquire and maintain necessary certifications, with support available.


Preferred Experience

At least (1) year of experience as a Lead Residential Plumber.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and customer service skills.
